Parallel Programming on GPUs for Machine Learning

Master's Thesis

For my Master’s Thesis, I worked with Professor Zhiru Zhang of the Cornell Computer Systems Laboratory on a project to profile the performance characteristics of GPUs on machine learning workloads. I spent time optimizing the training of a logistic regression algorithm via batched stochastic gradient descent in CUDA for an NVIDIA V100 GPU.
